“I highly recommend Hands And Paws, especially to anyone with a pet who would benefit from a reiki/crystal healing. My dog Rosie loves her sessions with Mary. It has made a big difference in how she feels, and she is 14!
Well worth checking into and many interesting, informative classes are offered.”

All bodies, (human and animal) have energetic pathways throughout called meridians, as well as surrounds us like a cocoon, known as auras. The meridians are our energetic blood and, like our circulatory system, a blockage may manifest as physical and/or emotional problems.
Energy healing, such as reiki and crystal therapy promotes well-being by enhancing energy flow and correcting impeded or blocked energetic flow along the meridians and in the aura. By removing energetic blockages, the clear flow of energy allows for the self-healing capacity of the body.
“I know Mary because we are both pet groomers.
She came to visit my house a few years back and met my dogs. Lilly, my old Boxer, was having some troubles with spinal arthritis. Working with my veterinarian we had her on some pain medications that were making her more comfortable, but she had some distinct mobility problems and was still in some pain.
Mary offered to do some Reiki on her, long distance. I knew NOTHING about Reiki, and had no expectations at all. I agreed, pleased that Mary cared enough to offer this, and then, to be honest, rather forgot all about it.
Lilly had always been able to nimbly leap up on our sofa. As her arthritis worsened, she had to really struggle to get up.She’d get her front legs on the cushion, then her right rear leg, then really have to work hard to get the left rear leg up. One morning while enjoying a cup of tea I noticed that she very easily got both rear legs up. I watched her for several days, and it was not a fluke or my imagination, she had a much easier time getting up. I talked to Mary and she assured me that she had been sending Lilly “treatments.” I then did a little research about Reiki so I’d understand it better. A little time passed and I noticed, to my utmost surprise, Lilly hopped up on the sofa like she used to! In general her demeanor was happier, too. She was feistier and more demanding and bossy than she had been; more like her old self. She would even do some brief running sessions in the yard with us, and regained a few of her naughtier tricks that she had given up as she aged. It was apparent that her comfort level was up.
I believe Mary and Reiki helped improve the quality of Lilly’s life during the last year or so before we had to say a very sad good bye. I went from someone who knew nothing about the subject to being someone very interested after seeing the comfort level of my friend rise when Mary helped her.

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique where the practitioner channels universal life force energy energy into the body by means of touch or through distance healing. It activates the natural healing processes of the body to restore physical and emotional well-being. It is widely accepted by the medical community and many hospitals offer reiki to their cancer, surgical, and chronically ill patients.
“I had a distant reiki session’ with Mary, and was truly amazed! Looking forward to another one. She says that people experience such sessions in individual and unpredictable ways, but I saw colors and patterns and felt wonderful for days, whereas I had been feeling a terrible lack of energy and motivation prior to the session. Will definitely do more of this.”
CrystalTherapy is one of the oldest form of healing. It dates as far back as recorded history. Crystals are a form of vibrational healing. The energies of the crystals help to balance and re-align a body’s energetic patterns . It is gentle and non invasive.
There are many ways to employ crystal therapy including layouts, art, and jewelry.
“In July ’13 we added a new dog to our family. Her name is Ziva and she is a rather unusual breed, a Black Mouth Cur. She was intended to be more than a pet, but a bit of a working farm dog, as well. I needed a dog that could help me move my livestock from pasture to pasture, and also guard both livestock and poultry from racoons, fox and coyotes. Ziva was 6 months old when she arrived here, and it was love at first sight for me. She is one of the smartest dogs I’ve ever met, and though that makes her a challenge to live with sometimes, it also makes her very easy to love and enjoy. I’d had her about two weeks when I first took her to my wonderful veterinarian for a “well puppy” exam. It was clear that she was well, because she just glowed with good health, and was full of energy. The exam progressed nicely, the vet receiving puppy kisses, exclaiming over her nice coat, her good bone structure, her perfect teeth, clear eyes, immaculate ears. Then she put a stethoscope to my new dogs chest and her eyes got very wide. “Oh dear,” she said. This dog has a serious heart murmur.” She listened more. She patted my arm consolingly. “I am so sorry.” She explained that murmurs were rated on a scale of 1 to 6, with 1 being minor and 6 being very serious. “Your dog is a solid 4.” I was deeply saddened, and took my puppy home where i could worry and fret.
My friend Mary heard the story and oh so kindly sent Ziva a collar made of crystals meant to help her heart. She gifted me with a matching bracelet. I put them right on both of us! Ziva looked beautiful in her necklace, and wore it day and night. In two weeks we returned to the vets office for a cardiac ultrasound to further explore how serious her heart defect was. The vet who is more of the heart specialist put his stethoscope to her chest. He moved it. Again and again, listening intently. “I can barely hear a murmur at all,” he said. “There is no need to do the ultrasound at this point.”
Now, I don’t know if the lovely crystal collar worked magic, or if the puppies heart outgrew her murmur in two weeks time, but I do know that hearing my good dog was far better off than we had thought was the best news I’d heard in a long time.

” I live in Sweden and my youngest chihuahua Ester has always had very easy to panic and is very sensitive. Unfortunately she got a ticket to Crufts and I gave her rabies vaccine to be able to go to England, and she got really affected by the vaccine, both physically and mentally. That was a year ago, but in september she got scared and ran away and was gone for 6 days. She was not hurt but more stressed again. I have done a lot of things to help her because she is the sweetest, happiest dog when not scared.
The morning after her first session of distant reiki with Mary my boyfriend said that Ester was so calm, cozy and friendly all of a sudden and he did not know about Mary giving Ester reiki. Ester has gotten reiki once a week for a couple of months now and there is a huge difference in her. Friends of the family that has not met her for a year commented on how quickly they were allowed to pet her and how mellow she is now, and they did not know about Ester getting reiki. Mary has also been able to communicate things that bothers Ester like one of her paws, which no one really knew about except for the vet who I asked to take a look on the paw the week before because Ester licks it a little now and then. It’s fascinating how Mary can be in the US and see Ester showing her little paw all the way from Sweden.
Our daily life has improved tremedously since Ester gets reiki from Mary and we now enjoy taking walks instead of having a constant struggle with a super scared, tense dog. She still doesn’t like other dogs so much but is a calmer and let’s go quicker of the dramatic feeling when the dog has passed.
It might be hard to understand how reiki works but I really recommend you to try it if you need some help or if you are tired and need some energy.
“I was diagnosed with late stage lung cancer in May of last year. The prognosis was poor. Mary made me a beautiful crystal necklace, custom tailored to my individual problem. I wore it to every radiation appointment, every doctor appointment, every chemo session. When I couldn’t wear it comfortably (at night) it hung from a hook directly above my pillow.
In October I was declared to be, astonishingly, in full remission and cancer free. I remain so to this day and celebrated my 48th birthday in February. I will celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary in July. Mary continues to provide me with moral support and valuable education. Recently, she directed me to an herbal supplement that has done remarkable things for my lungs.
Mary’s kind heart and beautiful soul knew just what I needed, right when I needed it. I honestly don’t know where I’d be without her help. Thanks, Mary! You’re a doll!”
